Did you ever feel like not being able to stop using your phones even if you have the strong desire to keep it aside? In the first place itself, these apps are designed to keep users using the apps â€˜unlimitedlyâ€™. Consciously or unconsciously, smartphones and social media platforms lead us to a ludic loop, where there is no exit from that situation. In an interview given at Stanford University, former Vice President of User Growth at Facebook, Chamath Palihapitiya had admitted it- â€œI feel tremendous guilt. The short-term, dopamine-driven feedback loops that we have created are destroying how society worksâ€.
Most of the social media platforms are earning their revenues using their consumers.
